Bingo!: Indulge Repeatedly in Amazing Food

I don't know whose life I've taken over, but this is one of the luckiest people ever. From Thursday to Sunday last week, she only ate one major meal in her own home... when she cooked for nine people.

THURSDAY:
  • I ate lunch at the canteen with Danielle. I had a shish-kebab of turkey, paella rice, ratatouille and some cheese for dessert (I never thought I would have seen the day).
  • I had goûté (afternoon snack) with Flo and Hattie which involved strawberry sorbet, bananas and a pastry that reminded me of a honey crueller. Delicious!
  • I cooked fishcakes with Hattie for Flo, Milica and Louise for dinner. ("Should we add a side of fish?")

FRIDAY:
  • I had lunch at a bouchon in Vieux-Lyon with Anna (a friend from Brock). We had charcuterie (basically a meat plate) which I almost choked on.... it was still delicious. The main course was saucisses in cheese. It was actually too delicious. We finished off with some strawberry sorbet.
  • I ate a dinner of tartiflette and salad at Hattie's, lovingly prepared by Hattie and Flo.
SATURDAY:
  • I ate delicious baguette sandwich with camembert cheese and saucissons for lunch at Milica's.
  • Saturday night, we had vegetarian chilli with baked potatoes (in spite of the aluminum in the microwave/oven fiasco) and crème fraîche (similar to sour cream). An amazing aperitif of melted goat cheese on toast covered with honey and Herbes de Provence courtesy of Hattie and Flo. For dessert we had a cup of cookie crumbs, marscapone cheese (mixed with sugar and milk) and fresh raspberries.
SUNDAY:
  • For brunch, Danielle made an egg concoction that included mushrooms, onions, garlic and lardons. With ketchup! I didn't even realize I had been missing Canadian breakfast.
  • That night, Maddy made pasta stew before the Olympique Lyonnais game. Jamie and Hattie made Baked Alaska for dessert (it was so good, it was deadly). It had Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. Probably one of the best desserts ever.

Whoever's life this is normally, I refuse to give it back. This is luxury student living (even though I had to borrow cooking utensils, plates, silverware and glasses to be able to fit everybody).

All I have to say is, it's time to hit the gym.
